Ticker is an acronym that is used to uniquely identify cryptocurrencies.
What is ticker?
If you’ve ever watched a financial news channel, you’ve undoubtedly seen the endless scrolling of stocks and commodities whizzing by at dizzying speed at the bottom of the screen. Stock tickers help traders keep track of the latest price information-and they are also used in the cryptocurrency sector. The information provided includes a symbol that represents the abbreviated name of the cryptocurrency. For example, Bitcoin will become BTC and Ether will be renamed ETH.
With these tools, you can immediately get an idea of cryptocurrency fluctuations during intraday trading.
The last price quote for a given asset is indicated, as well as a figure showing how much the coin has risen or fallen in monetary or percentage terms. To make it easier to understand, the text is colored green if the cryptocurrency rose and red if it lost.
